Real-time AI for Industrial Applications

HAL aims to provide real-time solutions for complex problems taking advantage of the processing power of current machines and the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

After intensive R&D efforts regarding AI&ML during 2012 and 2013, the first initiative to come out of the lab is a real-time video surveillance application developed in partnership with FGC ('Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya'),  a mass transport operator located in Barcelona. It is an application way beyond the standard motion detection software. With the prototype approved in 2Q2013 and its production version validated in 4Q2013, the product was launched for the broader market through our daughter company Awaait in 2014.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 663110 - TRAINSFARE

HAL's R&D team and initiatives moved to HAL's daughter company Awaait in 2022. Awaait now further develops, supports and commercialises the technologies initially developed by HAL.
